I’m not a fan of the “leggings as pants” trend, and I know I am not alone. Still, we shouldn’t be surprised that leggings as pants has emerged in fashion. Science fiction (sci-fi) movies and TV shows have been warning us for decades that leggings as pants is the look of the future. Well, the future has arrived. Whether you think leggings as pants are scary or stylish, you can celebrate the future of fashion with these 28 sci-fi Halloween costumes.
NOTE: I realize that many of these sci-fi costumes are actually one-piece jumpsuits and catsuits rather than actually outfits with leggings as pants. I take this as a sign that society has not yet evolved to the point that most of us want to strip practically naked in order to go to the bathroom. Something to look forward to or fear from the future, I guess.
