“Listing Toward Forty” to become “Listing Toward Halloween”

For the month of October “Listing Toward Forty” will become “Listing Toward Halloween.” Since moving to a neighborhood where we get over 1000 trick-or-treaters a year I’ve come to really look forward to Halloween. This year I’m sharing my excitement with a month’s worth of Halloween posts.

“But, Kim,” you may ask, “do you actually have that much to say about Halloween?”

Heck, no! That’s why I’m thrilled to have assembled an interesting and talented group of guest writers to share their unique variations on the theme of Halloween. There will be essays, stories, advice, poetry, and even a few lists.

I’ve already read a few of the guest posts and my publishing finger is itching to show them to you. However, I don’t want to add to holiday scope creep by publishing Halloween posts before October. (Except for this one.) We’ll all have to wait just a few more days.

In the mean time, you can make sure you don’t miss any of the upcoming Halloween posts by subscribing to email notifications. Just put your email in the box and click the “create subscription” button. (There are no ads and you can opt out at any time.)

If you are a Gmail user the notifications may initially go to your “promotions” tab, but if you drag one to the “primary” tab from then on new alerts should show up there.

You can also find me on Twitter, Google+, and Facebook where I’ll be discussing Halloween and posting fun bonus material all month.

If you just can’t wait for October, here are a few of my past tips about how to choose a Halloween costume
