In December I wrote that the Andersonville Galleria had opened a pop-up shop in Evanston. (See the original post here.) That was their second year doing a holiday pop-up shop, and now the Andersonville Galleria has opened a regular store in Evanston at the site of its former pop-up. The official grand opening of the Galleria in Evanston is Friday, April 12, but you can shop there now.
The Galleria in Evanston grand opening and ribbon cutting is Friday, April 12 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Galleria’s 1627 Sherman Avenue location. Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl is scheduled to attend along with Downtown Evanston Board members and staff from the City of Evanston. The grand opening is an opportunity to sample the wares of the Galleria’s specialty food vendors and meet the artists and entrepreneurs whose items are sold at the site.
According to Galleria Manager Holly Elzinga, “Evanston is a heterogeneous community with an eclectic mix of people and we are excited to bring high quality, artisan-made products here.” Those products include handmade jewelry, apparel and local fashion, hats, scarves, handbags, bath and body products, home accessories, candles, ornaments, gourmet treats, fine art prints, paintings and photography.
The Galleria in Evanston is located at 1627 Sherman Avenue. Store hours are Monday through Thursday: 11am to 7pm; Friday: 11am to 8pm; Saturday: 11am to 7pm; Sunday: 11am to 6pm.
The gallery below shows some of the wide variety of products and vendors available at the Galleria in Evanston. Which things tempt you?
