I kicked off my toy drive for Care for Real less than a week ago.Since the drive started there was a holiday and a long weekend when many people go out of town, so I didn’t think we would have collected much yet. Still, since it was a big shopping weekend, I thought there might be one or two things in the bin when I went to Bikram Hot Yoga Midwest this morning.
There was nothing.
To date my toy drive has yielded zero toys.
That’s pretty sad, so I’m going to make it easy for you. Whether you don’t live nearby or don’t have the time to buy and drop off a toy you can now contribute to this drive online. There is even a button you can click:
So while you have one hand on your wallet and the other on your mouse for Cyber Monday, considering supporting Edgewater families in need.
If you are local you can still drop off toys at Bikram Hot Yoga Midwest (5715 N Clark St, Upstairs). I’ll keep checking that green bin until December 16. I really hope it’s not always empty.
