A poem about the TSA based on Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll

For all of you who will be traveling on airplanes this summer here is a little poem about the TSA screening process and airport security. Sadly, it is still applicable years after I first wrote it. Since much of what the TSA does is nonsense, the poem is a nonsense poem based on the most famous nonsense poem, Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll.

Scaerrorwocky
(In the style of Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll)

‘Twas boardtime and the Ti Assay
Did screem the trafflers in the term:
All squeary were the wantawaze
And the payfriotic herm.

“Beware the Scaerrorwock, my son!
The booms that plode, the comps that hack!
Beware the Musrab world, and shun
The evil, streemist Sybattak!”

He took his magnetom in hand:
Long time the travlish mob he frist.
He eyed for contraliquibanned
And murdtyrers within our midst.

And as in searchity we wait
The Scaerrorwock with ‘spicious eyes
Came learking toward his signaged gate
But his plot was compromised.

Who? You! Let me through!
The magnetom went beepy-beeps.
Man pulled aside but ‘pologized:
He forgot about his keys.

“Thou hast not slain the Scaerrorwock.
Stay feargilant, my freelish boy!
Nyn-e-len will come again.
Our way of life they will destroy!”

‘Twas boardtime and the Ti Assay
Did screem the trafflers in the term:
All squeary were the wantawaze
And the payfriotic herm.
