List 31: People born in 1973

I’m turning 40 this year. Regular readers know that’s why I started this blog. I decided to find out other people born in 1973. That is, people who have or will be turning 40 year. Wowza. I definitely have some great “peers” whose accomplishments make me feel like a slacker for my list of unattainable goals.

Here are 40 people born in 1973 otherwise known as “Lordy, Lordy, look who is (or will be turning) turning forty!” I’ve included their birthdays in case you want to send a card.

  1. Danny Lloyd (January 1) a.k.a. Danny Torrance from the movie The Shining. Redrum!
  2. Josie Davis (January 16). All oblique Charles in Charge references end up sounding dirty, so I refuse to make one. (I don’t go blue until person #17.)
  3. Oscar de la Hoya (February 4), boxer I used to have a big time crush on circa the 1992 Olympics.
  4. Tara Strong (February 12), Bubbles from The PowerPuff Girls!
  5. Steve McNair (February 14), NFL player who will not see his 40th birthday because he was shot to death at the age of 36. Scary stuff.
  6. Jim Parsons (March 24), actor on a TV show with Blossom, Darlene’s boyfriend and some blonde.
  7. Larry Page (March 26), co-Founder of Google. (See also person #22)

  11. Elisabeth Röhm (April 28), one of many female, sidekick ADA’s on Law & Order (although she’s no Stephanie March of Law & Order:SVU).
  12. Heidi Klum (June 1), host of Project Runway and enthusiastic maker of babies.
  13. Neil Patrick Harris (June 15), too much awesome to fit in a one-line bio.Neil Patrick Harris riding a unicorn

  17. Monica Lewinsky (July 23), former presidential humidor.
  18. Omar Epps (July 23). Was Dr. House the Fight Club manifestation of Dr. Foreman, or was it the other way around?
  19. Wanya Morris (July 29), “Now check this out, one day back in Philly, four guys wanted to sing…” He was one of them.
  20. Asia Carrera (August 6), porn star and Mensa member. (I used to be one of those things.)

  28. Shannon Elizabeth (September 7) . Yes, American Pie, I know.
  29. Neve Campbell (October 3). I don’t remember much about Party of Five other than the fact that she and the guy from Lost were in it.
  30. Steve Burns (October 9), Steve from Blue’s Clues. My four year old would be impressed.
  31. Mario Lopez (October 10). Listening to Julie Klausner’s How Was Your Week? has taught me that popcorn and M&Ms are his trigger foods.

  32. Seth MacFarlane (October 26). When I started watching Family Guy I had no idea the voice of Stewie was so good looking.
  33. Nick Lachey (November 9) of ” Stay out of it, Nick Lachey” fame.
  34. Monica Seles (December 2), a very good tennis player.

  40. Theo Epstein (December 29). If Theo made one of those “40 things to do before I’m 40” bucket lists we can all hope that “Help the Chicago Cubs win the World Series” is on it.
